1.         GTP: GOVERNMENT TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME
·         Launched in January 2010
·         To enhanced well-being of citizens
·         2 important concepts
o   1Malaysia
§  Introduced in April 2009
§  Built on principles of
·         Inclusiveness
·         Accepting diversity among ethnic groups
·         Embracing  the unique qualities of each group
·         Capitalizing on this diversity as a competitive asset for 1 nation
§  Initiatives implemented
·         Promoting spirit of 1Malaysia
·         Adjusting the ethnic mix of the civil service
·         Ensuring Rukun Negara’s objective and the spirit of 1Malaysia is being promoted into all trainings and courses conducted
·         Inculcate broader and inclusive outlook, attitude and behavior among civil servants to be sensitive to the diversity in cultures and customs, and divergence of views and thoughts
o   People First, Performance Now
2.         PEOPLE FIRST, PERFORMANCE NOW

·         12 National key Economic Areas (NKEA)
·         Strategic Reform Initiatives (SRI)
o   Focuses on enabling the nation to compete in the global arena
o   6 SRI

§  Government’s role in business
§  Human capital development
§  Public service delivery
§  International standards and liberalization
§  Narrowing disparities (Bumiputra SMEs)
4.         PTP: POLITICAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME
·         Launched in 2011
·         Towards creating a functional democracy by balancing the nation’s security needs and individual freedom
·         Among others
o   Providing greater liberty to citizens by stamping out outdated and oppressive legislation
o   To enable Malaysians to assemble peacefully and voice their concerns in a respectful manner
o   Allow students to join political parties upon attaining the age of 21
o   Newspapers and publications are no longer required to renew their printing press licenses and publications permit annually
5.         DTP: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME
·         Launched in October 2011
·         3 strategic thrusts
Shifting from
o   Supply to demand
o   Consumption to production
o   Low-knowledge to high-knowledge activity
·         8 projects under the first wave
o   Asian e-Fulfillment Hub
o   Enabling e-Payment services for SMEs and micro enterprises
o   Shared enterprise services
o   Development of on-demand customized online education
o   Micro sourcing to generate income for the bottom 40% of households (B40)
o   Facilitating societal upliftment
o   Establishing a trusted mobile digital walled platform
o   Growing the embedded system industry
6.         CTP: COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME
·         To reach out directly to the people
·         And enable all communities to fully benefit from the wealth of the nation
·         Components:
o   RTP: Rural Transportation Programme
o   UTP: Urban Transportation Programme
·         RTP and UTP
o   RTC: Rural Transformation Centers (alliances between government agencies and private sector)
o   UTC: Urban Transformation Centers
7.         NBOS: NATIONAL BLUE OCEAN STRATEGY
·         7 NBOS
o   Retired military personnel recruited to join PDRM
o   Joint patrols by PDRM and military personnel
o   Enhancing the quality of life with collaborations of military personnel
