Putting tasks off to the last possible minute
Every one of us has tried to avoid some unpalatable task at some

What you can do today
(Thomas Jefferson)
In today’s world of
family living, time spend commuting to work, with emails to read at finger tips
and having a boss who believes micro management is a gift, it can be a very
busy life. It might be difficult to get
a balance and get everything done. Some may
procrastinate because they are overwhelmed with given too much to do and
procrastination gives them an escape. Other
times, they just feel tired and lazy and can’t just get going.
Why people
procrastinate? There are a few causes of
procrastination such as:
·
Stress
·
Overwhelm
·
Laziness
·
Lack of motivation
·
Lack of discipline
·
Poor time management
habits
·
Lack of skills
·
Perfectionism
But in everything
there exist such a thing as good procrastination which is avoiding errands to
do the real work. To do real work, a
certain degree of ruthlessness is needed.
It pays of in that you will have a big chunk of time and have the right
mood. To stop procrastination and start
living life more fully, you must:
·
Stop thinking and
start doing
·
Don’t blow task out of
proportion
·
Just take the first
step
·
Start with the hardest
task of your day
·
Just make a decision
·
Face your fear
·
Finish it
Putting off an easy thing
Makes it hard
Putting off a hard thing
Makes it impossible
