21. BENEFITS THAT
EXCITE AND ENTHUSE
Benefits
are something which we have to offer in our organization in order to attract
and retain top talent and beat competition.
The top five (5) of what most people expect are:
- Communication
- Leadership
- Clear career path
- Learning and development
- Shared values with employer
Benefits
are not just a HR initiative. It is
something that should be led from the top.
You could start by:
- Finding out what sort of things would
- Make a real difference to people’s lives
- Make your place a better place to work
- Finding out what stuff people really appreciate
- Working out what’s feasible
- Continue communicating openly and honestly
- Keep checking that benefits are working for all parties
Make
sure the benefits offered don’t offend or alienate anyone. It’s much harder to take away than to give,
so start simple and build as you go. Benefits
should;
·
Help
people to do what they do best
·
Help
them to be happy and healthy
·
Provide
some fun

creative and cool
·

very visible
The
three (3) things:
1. Consult your people
2. Introduce at least one visible,
exciting benefits that really reflects your culture
