INTRODUCTION
Life is a constant struggle to get results without having adequate authority.  Leadership is not about competency models, personality traits, or formulas.  It is about having the lasting energy to stay true to your vision for positive change.

Leadership is all about energy.  It is the art of harnessing human energy towards the creation of a better future.  Leaders find the energy to stay on and fight, and energize others around them.  Leadership energy can neither be learned nor acquired.  Leadership energy must be discovered.

There are 3 core principles regarding good leadership:
1.        Clearly defined purpose and values
2.       Channel and harness motivation to optimal effect
3.       Create conditions that will galvanize energy of others to facilitate sustainable collective success

To lead effectively, you must understand the people you lead.  It is impossible to directly supervise and motivate everyone.  You simply cannot be everywhere at the same time.  To achieve extra ordinary success, the leaders have to find their own leadership energy by:
·        clarifying their purpose and values;
·        then list a few co-leaders on the journey; and
·        finally galvanize the entire organization.
The main cause of sustained success of any organization is the proactive practice of the 3 principles above.
