Basic Health Tips - WATER



Water            - 75 % (80 % in babies) of the human body is made up of water
- Losses:
·         As vapor through the air you breathe out
·         Moisture from mouth when talking and singing
·         Through sweat
·         Through urine and stool
 



Water therapy

  1. Replenish body’s need
    • Not enough water may bring some inconveniences to the body such as reduced muscle tone and joint pain due to the release of certain chemicals which redirect water to the brain from less vital organs.
  2.  Help relieves joint pain (arthritis)
    •  Joints spaces are filled with some fluid which serves as lubricant
    •  Adequate water intake supplies sufficient fluid to the joint
  3.  Lubricating airway (management of asthma)
    •  Patients struggle for air because of the narrowing and spasm of the airways
    •  Water is loss when patient breathe through the mouth
  4.  Enhance free flow of blood through tiny blood vessels
    • Blood vessels tend to constrict when there is water shortage
    •  Good water intake helps to prevent and also contributes to the treatment of sickle call crisis
  5.  Flush out excess by product of damage cells
  6.  Treatment of body odour
    •  Study show that when a deer is thirsty, it produces some body odour which gives it away to predators
    •  Urine is dark-coloured and smells as a result because water shortage causes the kidneys to restrict waste by concentrating the urine
  7.  Lubricates the vocal pipe
  8.  Enhance lubrication (especially to females) in relationships
  9.  Prevent indigestion and constipation
  10.  Reduce premature wrinkling and acing
