KNOW WHAT IS IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE

KNOW WHAT IS IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE
A professor stood before his student with some items, an empty jar, some rocks, pebbles and sand.  When the class began, he picked up the empty jar and proceeded to fill 1/3 of it with rocks.  He then asked the students if the jar was filled.  They agreed that it was.

Then the professor picked up some pebbles and poured them into the jar until it was 2/3 filled.  He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.  He then asked the students again if the jar was filled. They agreed it was.
The professor then poured sand it into the jar until the jar is full. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.  He then asked the students if the jar was full.  The students responded with a unanimous, “Yes.”
“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to imagine that this jar actually represents your life.  The rocks, which are hard, big and strong, represent your family, your partner, your health, your children, things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be filled.
The pebbles are the other things that matter, like your job, your house, your car.  And the sand is everything else, represent the small stuffs in your life.”
“Imagine if you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “then you will find it very hard to make room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.  If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuffs, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
So what we learn today is you have to pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.  It really mean that you need to spent time with your family.   There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.
Take care of the rocks first, that is the things that really matters. Pebbles are nice to have so use them to blend with the rocks.  Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
