The phase
“Balik Kampung” is a beautiful phase
because it describe a sense of belonging of being deeply rooted in a physical
place and an understanding that family is at the heart of all. Malaysia has wonderful family oriented
culture that is being demonstrated each and every day:

Sharing
family meals in restaurants.

The
usage of language. It reflect the
feeling that everyone is closely connected and part of a wider community.
As they became more
globalised and people travel more often and further than ever before, perhaps
one does not need to visit family members in their hometowns to get a sense of “Balik Kampung”
