PERCEPTIONS INCIDENTS IN JOD INTERVIEWS

 

Here  are some things you should never do when you meet your interviewer:
1.  Never ever accept the offer of a hot drink

• politely refuse hid offer
• issues:
• you can't drink a hot drink immediately without burning yourself
• when you are busy answering the interviewers questions, there probably won't be a suitable break for you to take more than a few sips.  By the end of the interview, you are still left with almost a full cup of coffee.
• consequences:
• scenario 1
• you'll just thank the interviewer for his or her time and make a graceful exit, leaving the coffee sitting on the interview table
• interviewer will make note that candidate was very wasteful.  if he can do this to a cup of coffee, what will he do with the office supplies.
• scenario 2
• you could drink the coffee at the conclusion of the interview
• interviewer will also take note that candidate seemed reluctant to leave

2. Do not make any attempt on humor

• humor is such a personal thing and you'll never know how it will be received by a stranger.
