Life’s too short

Life’s too short to waste time and energy on negative ambition.

Time is all you have and you may find one day that you have less than you think.
Randy Pausch(1960-2008), A New Year Resolution

To have a life is to live it fully, happily, healthy, and maybe wealthy too.  Enjoy living and sharing with your love ones.  Make good choices and spend time for yourself.

Since the announcement of the retirement age to 60 years old, I have been thinking alot.  What does it really mean to us.  Do our lives had to be spent working day and night to achieve what some may say as 'to have the neccessities' or 'to have the needs and the wants in life'.  I do think there is more in life then just materials wants.  If we are happy and satisfied, then I'm sure there's enough to go by till the end of our days.

It may seem that according to the research that has been done, the human life span has increased to 70+ years old.  So what if it's ture? But no one can actually tell.  Do people really think that since you may live until you're 70+, thus giving them time to continue working until at a later age.  Or is it because people are afraid of geeting old and die just because some research said that those who does not use their brain after retirement will end up feeling and looking old?

There is so much to do after retirement.  Thus, do you think you have enough time to do it?  Do all the things you want while you still have the ability, strength and health to do it.  Some say age are only numbers.  But don't you think that the body have had enough already with all the bones and organs has since aged accordingly no matter how good you take care of them.

So make a wise decision.  Have time to spent for yourself and your love ones while still strong and healthy.  Travel and see the world.  Devote yourself to Allah s.w.t. and make up for all the lost time where you spent most of it gathering wealth.

There is no such thing as not using the brain when not working in an office when you retire.  Ther's alot of NGO's if you really want to participate.  There is no such thing as looking old if one stop working because the fact is you are old already.  If Allah s.w.t. blesses you with still a youthful look, that is a bonus and you should be grateful for it.

Life is too short to be spending it working all the time.  Remember, actually only the few lucky ones aged until 70+ with strength and good health.  Others.....?
