Perfect competition

venitism.blogspot.com
The hallmark of a free-economy is that it allows for perfect competition in a level-playing market where all players have access to both information and the buyers making purchasing or contracting decisions equally.  There are always flaws, be it fundamental or not in the assumption.  In countries where there exists strong state influence, industry players will depend heavily upon the government’s patronage.

Even the freest economies suffer heavily from cronyism.  Capitalism in its original meaning of the term represents a market in which its players operate on the role of law, where all are equal before the law.  This is the complete opposite of cronyism where one set of players is granted biased favors in preference over another.

In a free economy, there will bound to be winners and losers.  Entrepreneurs who worked hard to ensure the success of their business and do so strategically would naturally likely amass their wealth.  One would accept such a situation in which this set of hardworking entrepreneurs the sweat of their brow.  Nobody faults an honest player who works his way out of poverty by engaging in private enterprise if he did so purely based on skill, ability and merit.  It is not acceptable when such business people gain wealth not through hard work but through the well-oiled connections they have festered.

Difference between looks and attractiveness

nevergrowingold.blogspot.com
Your face is the first thing that people notice when they lay eyes on you.  The human brain seems pre-programmed to receive a rush of pleasure from looking at something beautiful.  On the surface, looks do seem to reign, but what many people do not realize is that looks have a competition that can, at any moment, topple it of its throne.  Confidence is by far, the more special of the two, simply because it is harder to acquire and does not wither away as time goes by.

Good looking people may be more arrogant, but they may not be more confident.  A truly confident person has an aura that supersedes their looks.  They are able to step up to challenge unfazed.  When people feel valuable, they tend to go on defensive mode, thus may appear unfriendly or unkind as not to show their weaknesses.

A confident person has strength and personality to influence.  They are open and warm to anyone, anywhere and at any time.  They do not have to make someone feel bad in order to feel good.  Confident people admire the talent and skills of others.  They also have empathy for those less fortunate.  Looks are important, but confidence is even more because it is the mother to self-esteem, faith in one’s own ability and the courage to chase after a dream.

Tips on looking good and feeling good
1.
Put effort into hair styling
-a good hair cut can enhance your face shape
2.
Take care of your skin
3.
Please use make-up
4.
Please don’t use too much make-up
5.
Don’t be lazy

We are all born the way we are.  The secret is that there is a huge difference between looks and attractiveness.  We can’t change what we are born with, but we can certainly work on being attractive.  Looking good lends us more confidence and that is the only reason we should make the effort.  Not for other people.  Just for us.

The elderly really are wiser

University of California, San Diego, and study confirms that the elderly really are wiser than younger people.  It’s because, older brains produce less dopamine, so seniors are less impulsive and emotional.  They are more likely to think things through.  They’re better problem solvers.  In short, they have wisdom.

Recent neurological research shows that people aged 55 and older; quickly bounce back from negative moods.  As you get older, you learn not give advice.  You learn to listen instead.
