The way we live seems to be the main cause of stress. Almost any situation can become stressful for anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Stress may be defines as causal, contributory or consequential. Fast changing technologies, threats to peace, work-related problems, education and gender bias can be termed causal stress. Population growth, poverty, illiteracy, crime and violence are examples of contributory stress. While pollution, changing lifestyles and the break-up of families are the result of consequential stress.
You cannot change your events, but you can change your attitude towards those events.
There is a need to create a state of mind that should not be shaken by internal weaknesses like anger and jealousy. Individuals should get empowerment to withstand, cope, accommodate and even learn to tolerate people and situations. Lets be matured and able to recognize that peace is not just the state of mind, but a way of life.
