PURPLE YOUR PEOPLE: ACHIEVE MAXIMUM VALUE

SHARED FROM THE BOOK:
Purple Your People
Jane Sunley

23. NEXT: ACHIEVE MAXIMUM VALUE

1.         Make sure that people understand the ‘whys’ and ‘what’s’ in it for them so you can begin to gather commitment to change.
2.         Think about which area is the most important for improvement.
3.         Workout what could be done to improve each area and prioritize.
4.         Build a clear action plan in manageable chunks using SMARTER goals.
5.         Clearly allocating responsibility, review process and communication plans.
6.         Decide who will have overall responsibility for driving this throughout the journey.

All the plans in the world are worth nothing if you don’t do it.  People usually spend far too much time deliberating instead of taking the first step.

The three (3) things to do:
1.         Sort out the culture and value stuff.
2.         Make sure you have capable and inspiring leaders at all levels.
3.         Find a simple yet a robust way to manage performance and aspirations – consistently.
