            Marketing connects brands to people on a mass scale.  Even the best products in the world would not be able to sell without marketing simply because no one would know about it.  In that light, marketing as an operation has to harness a blizzard of variable ranging from the product, the brand, to the people who buy into it in order to gain a competitive advantage on generate profits for the company.

            The ultimate success of marketing falls on the capabilities of the marketing professionals.  The five (5) traits of great marketing professional are:
1.         They experiment
Marketing is perhaps the most innovative operation.  Marketing is in many ways, about trying new and unique things that will enhance your marketing in terms of branding, client-procurement capabilities and such like.  Great marketing professionals actively attempt to enhance their brands marketing by sourcing and then experimenting with innovative but feasible ideas.  They weed out all the bad marketing ideas from the pool of strategies while retaining the most effective ones.  Many business owners are too hung up about failure that they forgot that going through a bearable amount of mistakes is critical to finding success.

2.         They never re-invent the wheel
The best marketers accept the fact that there is no shame in using the ideas of other brands to get results and understand that they cannot let their ego stop them from doing what is necessary.  When combined with enough creative power.  You’ll be able to have the incredibly valuable advantage of being able to identify, adapt, alter and improve great marketing ideas.

3.         They network to learn
Marketing people are born with a creative mind.  The best marketers understand that learning is important and actively and actively seek to network with different people in order to cultivate their internal library of knowledge and ideas.  The right attitude toward networking will bring your business very far into the future.

4.         They see both the big and small picture
The best marketing people are the ones that can simultaneously see the initiative in its entirety while understanding the minute details that are necessary to put it all together.  This will enable you to conceptualize innovative ideas while still maintaining a high degree of practicality and effectiveness in your strategies.

5.         They ignore society norms
Many businesses have offerings that are essentially identical to the competitors.  The only visible difference is the branding.

Good branding focuses on identifying the key aspects that makes it special in the minds of the target market.  The best marketers are willing to go against the norm by embracing the thought of being unique.  It will allow you to:
          Develop instinctive ability to identify what is special and solidity it into the unique brand image.
          Accept being different.
          Empower you to think laterally and execute marketing campaign with fresh perspective.
          Lookout defining factors about the brand.
          Be determined to tell everyone how special your brand is.
