Discreet resistances to change

3 forms of resistance to change:

1.         Revolt

·         An explicit and active form

·         These reactions of revolt can be directed outwards at the supposed source of the change to which one is subjected (managers, the organization, society), or towards oneself (self-destructive behavior, depression, suicidal tendencies ...).

2.         Withdrawal

·         A form of passive resistance to what is seen as the oppression of work (alienation)

·         Consists of psychological withdrawal from the work environment in order to build or strengthen one’s identity in the private or associative sphere.

3.         “Discreet resistance”

·         Everyone accepts the position in practice because everyone is satisfied with the status quo.

·         Only the appearances and the organizational forms change, and not the substance.

·         The everyday games of players who discreetly resist, without proclaiming it loud and clear.
