Some considerations for employee
to well manage their boss are:
- Understanding the boss's job, goals and priorities, whether or not it is spontaneously explained to you
- Understanding the boss's personality and managerial style
- Understanding the boss's likes/dislikes and idiosyncrasies
- Understanding the reasons for difficulties in approaching your boss in particular, and bosses in general
- Studying the boss's outside interests and how the boss behaves when not at work
- Knowing how, when and where to use specific boss-interviewing skills.
