Microphones technique
  • Don’t tap microphones to test it.  Speak into it.
  • Don’t get so close that you ‘pop your P’s” or amplify your breath
  • Keep jewelry, hair, and buttons away from the microphones
  • Don’t pound or tap the lectern or rustle papers near the microphones
  • Keep your voice natural and varied
  • Do check your audience to make sure everyone can hear
