Resistant to stress: Characteristics of people



 
Characteristics of people resistant to stress
        have a diet low in caffeine, salt, sugar and alcohol;
        non-smokers;
        have a purpose in life, which gives them a means of self-expression for their unique talents and skills;
        physically fit; in the sense of low resting heart rate, physical stamina, and an overall sense of healthy well-being;
        express their emotions, especially anger, without bottling them up;
        slim (but not underweight);
        sleep well; and have ways of relaxing thoroughly;
        manage their time well, planning their activities, delegating work, knowing their own capacity, and staying within its limits;
        enjoy their achievements;
        manage their relationships so that support and enjoyment are optimized, aggression and manipulation are reduced; and
        manage their stress in a good-humored and flexible way.
