- Plan your day realistically.
- Have clear, agreed priorities and goals
- Do not be a slave to your plan, there is always another day.
- Try and alternate your stress-points with opportunities for reflection, and relaxation, or just different work
- Postpone the decision until your feelings subside when you feel highly positive or highly negative
- Take breaks, even if brief ones
- Do difficult work when you are feeling your best
- Enjoy something in your work
- Be friendly when you do not want something
- Be natural
- Do not over-react
- Remove the cause of stress if you can
- Return stress to its rightful owner(s)
- Cultivate "stability zones"
- Remove yourself if the stress is recurrent, or too much to cope with
