TEAM: AS IT SHOULD BE? (PART I)

1.   Teamwork it is.  The word team + work really actually means work together to achieve a specific goal. Working together as a team in management is called TEAMWORK.  Its the most famous work phrase used in an organization.  But does it really exist.  People seem to be working together, but their hearts are not in it.  They seem to be working towards a specific goal, but they are just doing day to day work without giving any thoughts to the goals.  The teamwork may only work in the small unit or section they work in, but else where.....

2.   Working together to achieve success.  Working together is also to make the boss look good.  The team has to work together in order for the boss to achieve the goals.  Working for the department, for the division or for the reason....actually its for the boss.  The key performance indicator for any boss to continue their serve do actually depends on the organizations achievement...
3.   Achievement is to be acknowledge and recognized accordingly.  The usual case is where the boss claims that the achievements were due to his leadership and management.  In actual fact, the team members selected are those high performers and achievers...
4.   Acknowledge the Team.  No one person can work and achieve the goals alone.  Outputs are based on a process of work flow.  Different peoples' cooperation are needed to produce the outputs.  Thus no one person can do the whole process of producing the ultimate output alone.  But recognition is almost always been given to individuals.  Organization has yet to change their recognition system.
5.   Setting objectives, outcome, and impact should be the first and foremost action in any project.  Strategic planning of what to achieve should be outlined.  Parameters are to be set by top management.  Then only the project will be able to run on track.  otherwise, it will also run, the the track will be a rough one with lots of hinges and bumps.
